Lab grown diamonds are chemically and visually identical to genuine, naturally mined diamonds. Unlike traditional diamonds formed over millennia beneath the earth's surface, and then harvested through rigorous ground operations, they are grown in a laboratory with naturally mined diamond "seeds." These seeds are slices of a natural mined diamond. While there may be thousands of lab grown diamond manufacturers, not all produce quality when we examine the diamond seed "type" (Hadar Diamonds mostly offers Type IIA), and the finishing process that includes cutting and polishing.

There is a common misconception that lab grown diamonds are cubic zirconia a.k.a. CZ —this is false. Lab grown diamonds are derived from naturally mined diamonds with a Mohs hardness level of 10. Rubies, sapphires test 9 Emeralds 7. Beautiful LGD s are diamonds can be worn like all natural. Will not yellow or degrade over time like cubic zirconia (CZ will).  Lab grown diamonds are suitable for diamond buyers who are eco-conscious and still want top color and clarity, with options of extra-large sizes at a significantly lower price.
